This product was the inspiration for our Farmers' Market Days series.
This is a Jackson favorite and for good reason.
The sauce base is sunflower seeds, but the flavor comes from the combo of the soaked Jalapeño and red pepper with nutritional yeast to make it cheesy. So good.
The stems can be a bit crunchy, but now that we have a way to use the stalks (see our broccoli croutons) so we can cut these as far back as we can to the crown.
We cut the broccoli and let them rest. Why?
However, if you chop the broccoli and let it sit before you expose to heat you will still retain the benefit. We use gentle heat provides extra prevention of loss of enzymes.

I loved them. They were crunchy and the taste was perfect for me. Creamy with a little pepper taste.
Ok I literally am in love with these!! The only reason I can’t give 5 stars is that the stems are SO hard & sharp. The flavor is delicious & the broccoli crown is so yummy. I have no clue how to soften the stem, maybe they just need to be cut out. Because of them I would not buy again unless something changes. Otherwise great flavor.
